173 Article 'an'

Article 'an' is an indefinite article.  

It is used before singular nouns that start with vowel sounds like 'a and e'.

Here are some examples-

1. He is an alumnus of International school.

 

2. Taylor Swift has an army of haters.

 

3. Life is like an act of longing.

 

4. A talented artiste can easily find an audience and become a star.

5. An early Bird General Arena ticket may be priced at rupees 1,499.

6.- The Govt. made an official announcement.

 

7. It was an amazing experience. 

 

8.  An 18-year-old lost his life in a celebratory firing during a stage performance held to mark a Punjabi wedding.

9. My friend tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony.
