140 Leap Year

* How did Leap Year begin and why?

Ans- Earth's orbit is not precisely 365 days a year. The trip takes about 6 hours longer than that. If we multiply 6 by four, it becomes 24 hours after four years. And 24 hours make a day, everybody knows. That's why after every four years, a leap year exists.

Leap years have been around since 46 BCE, dropping every four years. To be precise, a year is 365 days, 5 hours, 48 minutes and 56 seconds. Add up these extra hours, minutes, and seconds.

The extra hours, minutes, and seconds start to add up, and thus become an extra day, that comes every four years, which makes the year a leap year.
