99 Dandi March Day { March 12,1930 }-a poem
Clad in white cloth, Sabarmati Saint
“honest," and "simple” like all were his traits
Used to hold stick always to walk
“NON-VIOLENCE” was his weapon of war.
From his rivals, he was the first to receive a standing ovation
That's why, he is called 'The Father Of Our Nation'
April 10,1917
To grow Indigo" Champaran Farmers” were tortured
April 10,1917
To grow Indigo" Champaran Farmers” were tortured
They ran towards Gandhiji” the then” prominent leader
This was his first entry into India's freedom struggle
Never turned back till shunted out Britishers.
The next move of saint was the “NON CO-OPERATION MOVEMENT”
To boycott foreign goods without any violence
Though withdrawn due to the"CHAURA-CHAURI” incident
Yet it completely shook “ The British Imperial Government”.
On March12,1930
On March12,1930
‘Britishers passed a “Salt Act’
on Indians" wealth, it was a direct attack
on Indians" wealth, it was a direct attack
Indians were prohibited to sell their salt
Imposition of heavy tax
was indirect assault
was indirect assault
Made salt, Gandhi ji, from the Arabian Sea,
Became difficult for Britishers to stand up to the heat
Though he was arrested on May 5
Satyagrahies, against it, continued to fight.
Thus whenever Britishers played dirty game
Bapu ji thwarted that at the time same
Great leaders who make
enemy's tricky walls bare
enemy's tricky walls bare
Are born on this earth
very rare.
very rare.
