86. Union is strength { a poem }
=
Once there was a farmer
Had four sons
They were quite inert,
And always used to quarrel.
[2]
Their idleness was worrisome
"Time was passing"- It was a grave concern.
Worry was taking the farmer's life out of him
So he called them close to him.
[3]
He asked them to bring a log of wood
To break the pile to try their hood
Nobody could break the pile
"Untie it," he asked them for a while.
[4]
A single piece was easily broken
"Unity is our strength", the farmer was spoken
United we stand, divided we fall
Now it is up to you,
Want to erect or break your wall.
[5]
All four sons learnt a lesson
Better "should quarrel" never and ever.
