77. Why do we celebrate Republic Day on 26th. Jan?-a poem

 

         26th January is a "Republic  Day"               


                        [1]

  •                      In 1929  
  •            There  was a time when
  •            'Purna Swaraj'  was highly flared 
  •            And  for celebration 
  •            The date 26th was declared.
  •                          [2] 
  •            Aftermath Purna Swaraj was attained
  •             Supreme Law was  maintained
  •             The date 26th was regained.
  •      India became a sovereign "Republic Country"
  •              It was rejoiced with great pageantry.
  •              .
  •                           [3] 
  •             ' Republic" literally means
  •                      A " Public affair"
  •                People can choose Govt.
  •                    Own way, theirs.
  •                          [4]
  •                    'Re'-  The prefix 
  •                 Refers to" vote again"
  •                 To reject the "screwed " Govt.
  •                      For public gain.
  •                           [5]
  •                  It is this power
  •                  Celebrated on  the day
  •                Which we  call  " The Republic Day."
