77. Why do we celebrate Republic Day on 26th. Jan?-a poem
26th January is a "Republic Day"
[1]
- In 1929
- There was a time when
- 'Purna Swaraj' was highly flared
- And for celebration
- The date 26th was declared.
- [2]
- Aftermath Purna Swaraj was attained
- Supreme Law was maintained
- The date 26th was regained.
- India became a sovereign "Republic Country"
- It was rejoiced with great pageantry.
- .
- [3]
- ' Republic" literally means
- A " Public affair"
- People can choose Govt.
- Own way, theirs.
- [4]
- 'Re'- The prefix
- Refers to" vote again"
- To reject the "screwed " Govt.
- For public gain.
- [5]
- It is this power
- Celebrated on the day
- Which we call " The Republic Day."
- Happy Republic Day!
