53. Spirit of Inquiry-a poem

Papa, Papa why is the sky blue?

Our Earth is surrounded by an atmosphere,

                                    Sun’s white light travels through

Blue light scatters more strongly than red

That’s why Beta! the sky is blue.

                                                                   =

                                         Mama, Mama, see the Moon

                                                How it is shining!-------

Oh Beta, the light is reflected from the sun

Shining, you are seeing, is just an illusion.

The Moon, in fact, acts like a mirror

The light, bouncing  off

 Is making it a thriller

Grandma, Grandma! why did your hair turn grey?

The root of each hair is nested in follicle
That contains pigment cells.

Pigment cells produce a chemical

‘Melanin’ is called Beta, that chemical

‘Melanin’gives color to hair

. Black appears that’s why, your hair.

It is because I am growing
 So pigment cells  started dying

Due to few, those are left
My hair appears grey, silver, and white.
