102 A TRUE TEACHER -a poem

Poor in academics,  isolated, labeled, and ridiculed

Burdened with tuition and extra classes
I suffered a lot from emotional disturbances.

My teacher, you started diagnosing my learning disorder,
My working memory and  auditory problems
You broke down new concepts into small chunks
Never attacked on my poor performance.

You gave me exposure to sports and dance
Also tested me in music and art
You tried to catch my inherent talent
This boosted my confidence with your style in variance.

Thank you, dear teacher, thanks a lot
Without you, could I," be able to sail my boat.
