1- Why do we always capitalize the letter" I "?---------------------------------------------------------------------

         The letter " I " is derived from a German word,"ich" In Middle English, this was shortened to "ic" and over the years, this too was shortened to just "i "However, people felt that the "i" was too thin and short, and began capitalizing it to make it taller.

2- "U' is a vowel, yet is sometimes considered consonant. Why?---------------------------------------
In some cases "u" sounds like "yu" as in {university and union}in that case it is taken as consonant and article "a" is used with them.

3- How the word "Wednesday" is pronounced?---------------------------------------------------------------
Wedne------------------------------------is pronounced like the word "When"
"S" sounds ----------------------------- like the"Z"
"Day" is pronounced------------------like"day "or" di"

4-What is A Syllable?

Ans- A Syllable is a word that contains one vowel sound. e.g. 'Mat' contains one vowel sound 

/ae/

5- How many vowel sounds in English?

Ans- 15

6-What is diphthong?

Ans-It's a combination of two adjacent vowel sounds within the same syllable. e.g 'write'. Here syllable is one ' i ' but sounds /ai /

                             The very word 'vacation' has its roots in 'vacare' [ Latin word ] or to be unoccupied. Vacation is  a period of suspension of work, study, or other activity,

                      Vacations are anything but unoccupied. it is a plural form of vacation.
